relationship/question meme

Just passed 2100 comments and because I'm in constant danger of sleeping at work, let's have a relationship/question/whatever meme. Basically, ask me a thing about Maya (or, uh, whoever, I guess) and I will jabber on at length about it (in the morning)

Aerich was super pleased with Apus, because he felt they had a really great dynamic that fit into his Lyorn worldview: everyone has this base personality and their nature makes this person good at this but bad at that. Lyorn tend to take the position of "this is the way things are and always have been, and it's best to work within those natural laws" view of things. Aerich isn't really one to get actively involved in things -- he does what he sees as his duty to a T and then is content, so the way Apus was viewed suspiciously and kind of on the sidelines of plot didn't bother him in that he couldn't take a highly active hand in how things went. It really just bothered him in the context of...communication about what was being done was terrible, and there's all these non-Apus Easterners who respond so very rudely to attempts to start a genuine debate about whether it was exactly the right course of actions for the right reasons. (Particularly bothersome to him because he was remembering having a gentlemanly debate with Adron about Adron's impending rebellion; Adron won't be swayed from rebellion and Aerich's expecting and is fine with that -- not the kind of reaction Sabra kids are likely to have, of course.)

Sabra's true end was the best possible thing for Aerich and Tazendra, and he probably wrote back to Maya every time with an update on how he's doing, what shenanigans Tazendra has gotten up to (which I think included her going to go help Selendis burninate some Zerg), and sends a bottle of his vineyard's wine. He might every now and then thank Maya for prodding him to wish for himself and Tazendra to be able to be together.

Kidale on Sabra folks! ........gosh.

He likes Zel. Zel is a really cool dude, who might not be the most socially acclimated but is awesome because he has magic and he's good with swords and he seems to really get about needing to work together to make a safe place for people and he's even willing to teach Kidale how to handle his sword correctly!

Ikki's okay. A little hard to connect to. Kidale lives with Revan, but as far as Kidale and Revan go, the Sith's just this really weird mysterious guy who's always watching and sometimes he gets chummy with Ikki?!

Old!Sabra folks are colorful and fun and he likes chatting with them because they have a similar frame of reference in regards to gods as Kidale's.

The rest of the Sabra folks make Kidale sadface constantly, because...He's idealistic and doesn't understand why people are so strictly dividing themselves in this dangerous world where there's every reason to work together and no perceived reason to work against each other. But so far his experience with many of them is: here is a problem. No, nothing you say can convince me to connect with you or contribute anything significant toward fixing the problem, because you aren't my roommate and/or teammate. Which is kind of hilarious because his Limit Break's trigger is specifically when he sees people suffering and he's unable to effectively intervene, which means when there's a problem to deal with Sabra folks tend to literal drive him toward insanity. But I knew when I apped Kidale that his mindbending Social charms weren't appropriate for RP so I don't mind that much that he's unable to get things to go his way.

What's Maya's general day in the life like? |D

Hellooooo. :3

Kidale is a bit messy about it, because his mind swings between being a derpy kid who just wants everyone to hold hands and get along to his moments in his past life's mindset -- and his past life was named Harmonious Vengeance, so. Yeah. That aspect of him views everyone as foolish mortals that can't figure out how to get their act straight.

Exalts are extremely emotional creatures, and Kidale gets tired out about drama pretty quickly. Actually kind of makes him miss the days when there were less people around and he and Inori would just sit around singing.

Revan takes note of it, because being aware gives him a bit of insight into the people involved (for example, Becca is petty -- but he knows there's at least kernels of truth in the things she posted, since he had his own encounter with Ticky in Sabra and so on). He wants to know just in case it ever becomes relevant to him.

But he also can't be bothered to care much or do anything about it. Not worth getting involved in; page him when an atrocity needs committed or prevented.

Izumi Curtis ... if I remember correctly she came in after the really public stuff went down. But she wouldn't have patience for it. I would expect her to punch some kids in the head and tell them to grow up.

Reverse?

EVERYONE FOR GETTING KILLED.

Nah more seriously, Izumi's most likely to beat people who she cares about the most, or the people who threaten the people she cares about the most.

By default, Ed and Al, Sion, Astal and Razzy are on her list of people to give tough love.

From there it depends on how much you try her patience. She definitely wants to punch that Colonel Mustang for losing all his memories and dying when he's supposed to be leading Amestris to a better future.

It's possible that you can be cute enough of a kid that she won't want to beat you at all. See: Goldilocks.

But yeah, she'll beat the hell out of Ed even though he's seventy years old.

What's this about Maya and a harem? XD

Izumi will always see Ed as a spirited shrimp. But Ed makes her cry because he fixed everything and got to have his own family -- and apparently in his timeline she got to have kids with her husband. And on top of that the little bastard DIED.

Al is a twist of the knife, because in Ed and her own timelines, Al's body was restored one way or another. Compared to that, to have him die without ever being restored is terribly depressing.

With the rest...Mustang has been explained, she's mad at him for apparent terrible decisions. She hasn't seen Ran Fan, Ling she doesn't know well enough to be anything but a little sad -- and he's presenting himself as handling it pretty well, so.

I FORGOT A QUESTION -- is there anything you might enjoy having our characters do together in the near future? :|a
