relationship/question meme
Just passed 2100 comments and because I'm in constant danger of sleeping at work, let's have a relationship/question/whatever meme. Basically, ask me a thing about Maya (or, uh, whoever, I guess) and I will jabber on at length about it (in the morning)

I'm taking her from true end, so they won, everyone got their memories and their wishes, so she figures it worked out fine in the end? When she leaves Sabra, she does her best to keep in touch, send Christmas cards through the multiverses, etc... The whole experience could've been better for them in a lot of different ways? She wishes they could've built up a stronger team reputation, spread the team name. But they did have a role, if a small one, and they (she? she considers it the same /o/) got to build strong relationships and learn about themselves, so she considers it an overall win.
Can I hit you back? Kidale on Sabra folks in general?
no subject
Sabra's true end was the best possible thing for Aerich and Tazendra, and he probably wrote back to Maya every time with an update on how he's doing, what shenanigans Tazendra has gotten up to (which I think included her going to go help Selendis burninate some Zerg), and sends a bottle of his vineyard's wine. He might every now and then thank Maya for prodding him to wish for himself and Tazendra to be able to be together.

Kidale on Sabra folks! ........gosh.
He likes Zel. Zel is a really cool dude, who might not be the most socially acclimated but is awesome because he has magic and he's good with swords and he seems to really get about needing to work together to make a safe place for people and he's even willing to teach Kidale how to handle his sword correctly!
Ikki's okay. A little hard to connect to. Kidale lives with Revan, but as far as Kidale and Revan go, the Sith's just this really weird mysterious guy who's always watching and sometimes he gets chummy with Ikki?!
Old!Sabra folks are colorful and fun and he likes chatting with them because they have a similar frame of reference in regards to gods as Kidale's.
The rest of the Sabra folks make Kidale sadface constantly, because...He's idealistic and doesn't understand why people are so strictly dividing themselves in this dangerous world where there's every reason to work together and no perceived reason to work against each other. But so far his experience with many of them is: here is a problem. No, nothing you say can convince me to connect with you or contribute anything significant toward fixing the problem, because you aren't my roommate and/or teammate. Which is kind of hilarious because his Limit Break's trigger is specifically when he sees people suffering and he's unable to effectively intervene, which means when there's a problem to deal with Sabra folks tend to literal drive him toward insanity. But I knew when I apped Kidale that his mindbending Social charms weren't appropriate for RP so I don't mind that much that he's unable to get things to go his way.
What's Maya's general day in the life like? |D
no subject
Yeahh... Maya, being Maya, doesn't really understand the desire to be separate from everyone else either. At the same time, she doesn't want all Sabra folks to just be forever judged, since that's not fair to them (and really by 'them' she means 'herself')
> Maya's average day...
She's an early riser, maybe 4 or 5. She gets up and does her spiritual training for an hour or two, then cleans up and scrounges something for breakfast. Mornings are for chores like cleaning house, getting stuff purified (in general she does it for the whole apartment since never trust Orions with authority figures), working on quests,
huntinggathering safeish plants/wildlife from the uncleared bits insides, or whatever else needs to be done for the apartment. She'll usually go to whatever Becca's cooking for lunch, and chill for a while. Afternoons are for any more personal chores and being sociable--making the rounds of folks she knows, begging for favors to learn/try new stuff. She's meant to do more meditation in the afternoon or evening; this will be pushed back or avoided altogether if she can help it.
Dinner is with the roomies, and she does her best to encourage family dinner time. Evening is mainly wasting time shooting the shit at home. She's meant to be keeping a journal for Leedin in exchange for sewing lessons; noting the day's happenings would go here (her attempts at sewing may go here as well). She probably goes to bed around 11 or midnight; she doesn't sleep particularly well so she tends to wait until she's on the verge of passing out to go.
I...think that makes sense...at least, enough sense for 3AM :|b

Would Maya ever consider leaving the Sabra folks?
no subject
If it's just rooming with different people, sure, why not? It would be nice to have a friendlier, more supportive group around her, and it would be nice to have stuff. She would happily go back to being the irritating neighbor as opposed to the irritated roommate. She is getting used to it? But Orion gets on her nerves a lot more when she doesn't get the chance to go home and recharge afterwards.
However, if you mean like cut all ties, never talk to again-leaving, she wouldn't--there would have to be some huge huge circumstances before she would do that. For all the grief Ashikawa gives her--and it's a lot--she loves him like a sister and thus will put up with his issues, if only to be contrary since he's so convinced that no one will.
...That said, she doesn't really identify as a 'person from Sabra' or an 'Apus' anymore...she is herself, that's all.
I'm curious, what are your characters' thoughts on the color-coded crazies and their Thusia invasion of sorts?

Nothing really new on Aoko since they met in Sabra? Maya really hadn't been expecting to see her here! And it extra sucks she didn't have a chance to get home. But there's a bunch of people from her world here, plus Ikki, plus Badger (who might be going out with Quartz, she's not sure), and so long as you don't like try to befriend stiltwalkers or anything it's not so bad here. So Maya's not too worried about Aoko and maybe they can hang out and do more stuff together without having to worry about the world ending like last time. :|b

Harmony is really happy for her friendship with Maya, because she's always been this constant bright spot of cheer. While she feels obligated to be the voice of reason for Maya sometimes it's a loving kind of obligation -- she doesn't really mind, it's kind of fun to be the straight man for Maya to bounce off of. Maya helps remind her to be happy and Alice is so grateful for her presence and their friendship, even though it comes with the usual twinge of guilt because death oh noes. :(
HMMMM any app plans?
no subject
Nooot really? I think I'd like a second character, but I can never find characters I really feel I could play. I'd like to app someone who was actually competent at something but I don't think I can trust myself to maintain it...
Are you thinking of picking up anyone else?

Who would you want to see from PW in Thusia?
no subject
From canon... I'd love to have a Franziska or Gumshoe to play off of just because they are my favorites. Maybe Dahlia or Gant since you can never have too many villains (or swimming). Most of the rest of the main cast being here would make Maya really unhappy, thoug, which puts a damper on things...
Who from your casts would you like to see here?

Either way, the best solution is to Not Think About It, so she is not going to! She likes Razzy well enough, she's nice, brave, enthusiastic, uh, soft...>> So, Maya's just gonna go with the flow, be the good friend in times of need, as it were. Completely unrelatedly, she still wants to test out channeling, if she can.
What does Razzy think of the pleasures of the flesh, as it were? :3
no subject
And in Edward's timeline, where Razzy lived, she would have gotten her own kind of harem when she reached her mid-twenties after Alphonse decides it's time for Razzy to learn things. Harem because she doesn't get that commitment thing so well.
But she's just really getting the chance to learn now and it's actually really fun! Razzy likes physical things and she likes contact so it's the best of both worlds without all the pain of training. There is some hesitancy because she...doesn't actually know what she's supposed to do and is mostly just following instinct. But she also knows she can get caught up in things and doesn't want to get others caught up with it, so she tries not to jump in all the way. When she learns more, that'll become less so.
Also, she thinks Maya is actually cute, so points there.
And yes, we should totally do that channeling thing, Razzy is pretty interested in that.
What does Maya think of Razzy more in general?
no subject
As for channeling, I am waiting to hear word of mod on one thing related to that and then I'll be ready to rock, I think.
Maya was never super-close to Razzy at Sabra but that was more due to timing than anything else. She remembered her as fun and cool and pretty logical for a little kid (not that Maya's judgment on logic should count for much). It was kinda weird that appearing here she was suddenly old? But stranger things have happened and she's really happy Razzy got to spend so much time with Ed and Jace and their family, because people who deserve happy ends should get them! Maya is also the tiiiniest bit jealous that Razzy has so much family and close friends here at Thusia. And she feels absolutely awful for it, especially when she remembers they're here because they're dead back home. But she really, really misses her own home and family so badly. And Ashikawa and the others are good for some things, but comfort is not one of them. Plus she feels bad that she good ended and they didn't. So she appreciates having someone like Razzy around who is nice and friendly and fun and knows what she went through and how she's feeling, AND who doesn't shy away from physical contact.
...Of course Maya isn't really consciously aware of most of this! But that is what's going on behind the 'i like nice person'-ness. '-'b

...Other than that, she's pretty fine with the place. The people she's met seem nice enough, the gods really do seem harmless enough that she's no longer suspicious when they ask so little for favors. She'll be happier when they get a window and there are more areas opened up so you can take a walk without being chomped on.
