[newlydead r3] day 4 - spades
[The rave set has got its strobe lights traded in for the closest Maya could get to dappled morning sunlight (it is not very close, though it makes up for it with ample lasers), and there's a pile of greasy bun-based hangover remedy breakfast sandwiches and Sunny D in the DJ booth. Maya kind of gently herds folks together for a check-in]
How's everybody doing this morning? Still intact? Got your votes sorted? Any other questions? Concerns? People we need to beat up in a dark alley?

This voting board idea, also, is not very popular and lots of people are being cagey about their votes. Apparently when it was used last time it went badly? Any of our seniors want to fill me in?
Oh, and maybe no dark alleys yet, but I hear Froud on Team F may be a huge creep, so there's that.

[ may have changed his mind about the board after a conversation with Corrin, and only hasn't destroyed it himself because he doesn't want to look emotionally imbalanced. ]

What exactly happened last time that has everyone so jumpy?

A couple times people used the board to manipulate the votes and go behind each others' backs vote the wrong ways. They voted against the ways they said they were going to so they could make people dead or hotel them.
It didn't happen often, but it did happen. It happened in a huge sweep, in the end - nobody voted the way they send they were going to, and the game ended in a huge bang.

"Fact: I won this game once before. Secret: it nearly tore me apart to do so."
He said he'd learned from that mistake, but it could be another lie. He might have only changed his mind because his boyfriend got mad at him. Aoi said he wanted to do the board to hold people accountable, not to protect lives. What's he really after here? What is she supposed to trust?
Does it really change anything if she can't trust him anyway?]
One idea I had was, since we know how many votes each team has, just keep track of who gets zero votes and go up to the teams with excess to see who's willing to volunteer to save one or more of them. But really, if someone does want to kill or hotel someone, there's little we can do to stop them.

[ He's going to pull Ene aside after this meeting. He wants to talk to her about something. But he can't say it yet. Not in front of the others. ]

But when the game is nearing its end, we need to get rid of it.

Never had one. But if I felt like getting one, there'd definitely be some extreme vetting, first.
